Jayhawks win 3 titles at Husker Invitational

? The Kansas University track and field team left the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with three victories on Saturday.

Senior Egor Agafonov (weight throw), senior Kate Sultanova (pole vault) and junior Nickesha Anderson (60-meter dash, 200-meter dash) won their events for the Jayhawks.

Agafonov, the defending NCAA weight-throw champion, won the event with a NCAA provisional mark of 21.24 meters.

Sultanova automatically qualified for the March 14-15 NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., with her mark of 4.20 meters in the pole vault.

Anderson broke her own KU record in the 200 meters with a time of 23.75 seconds. She matched her school-record of 7.38 seconds in the 60 meters.

KU returns to action Friday in New York at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.
