Stanford, Calif. — Anthony Goods led four Stanford players in double figures with 21 points, and the Cardinal remained unbeaten under first-year coach Johnny Dawkins with a victory over Texas Tech on Sunday night, the second-worst defeat in Red Raiders history.
Landry Fields added 19 points and eight rebounds, Lawrence Hill had 17 points, seven boards, five assists and four steals, and Stanford (9-0) extended the program’s best start to a season since opening the 2003-04 campaign with 26 straight victories.
Texas A&M 60, Sam Houston St. 50
College Station, Texas — Chinemelu Elonu scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds to help Texas A&M win its seventh straight.
B.J. Holmes came off the bench to add 11 points.
Iowa State 71, Houston 67
Houston — Craig Brackins scored 38 points and had 14 rebounds to help Iowa State hold off Houston.
Diante Garrett added 12 points for the Cyclones (8-4), whose lead was cut to three on Kelvin Lewis’ three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining.
Aubrey Coleman, who led Houston with 28 points, missed a three-pointer with two seconds left that would have tied it.

Nebraska 62, No. 24 Arizona State 58
Lincoln, Neb. — Yvonne Turner scored 13 points, making two crucial free throws with 18 seconds left, and Nebraska came from behind to beat Arizona State.
No. 4 Texas 79, UTEP 40
San Diego — Kathleen Nash scored 13 of her 15 points in the first half to help Texas rout Texas El Paso in the Surf ’N Slam Classic.
No. 21 Oklahoma State 80, North Texas 54
Stillwater, Okla. — Shaunte Smith scored 20 points, Andrea Riley added 14, and Oklahoma State beat North Texas in a sloppy game that featured 57 turnovers.
No. 22 Kansas State 74, Washington State 58
Pullman, Wash. — Ashley Sweat scored 30 points to help Kansas State match the best start in school history with a victory over Washington State.
