Catch up with the best of ‘Home and Away’

“Home and Away” takes advantage of the last week of the year with a retrospective episode featuring show highlights of 2008. Programs featuring interesting homes, exciting road trip destinations and expert advice are all part of the mix.

Host Lori Carson revisits guests who have opened their doors and shared their homes this year. From an award-winning episode on a home built in an abandoned missile silo to eco-friendly homes gone “green,” the show also spotlights historic restorations and innovative renovations.

Viewers are invited to hit the road as “Home and Away” day trips to an Adirondack-style lodge in Nebraska and a charming bed and breakfast named one of the top-10 inns in Kansas. The road show continues with trips to a winery, a farm tour and a spectacular back yard oasis.

Experts lent advice this year on topics ranging from consignment shop decorating, energy-conscious products, window treatments and farm-inspired crafts.

“Home and Away” premieres at 6:30 p.m. Mondays on Sunflower Broadband Channel 6.
