Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64, chartered to Eudora Lions Club, participated in the Pelathe District’s 4th Annual Mountain Ball Lock-in and Varmit Cookoff on Dec. 5-6 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Scouts attending were Connor Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Steven Wimmer, Nathan Gentleman, Matt Jones, Patrick Bradley, Trinton Wilkins, and Chance Hamm. Troop leaders attending were Jerry Criqui, Ann Wimmer, and Damon Bradley. John Scott, Duane Gentleman and Glenn Jackson also visited the event. Members of Eudora Pack 3064 attending the event are Webelos Scouts George Watts and Zack Jones, and Webelos assistant den leader Danny Jones.

Lawrence Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered to the Lawrence First United Methodist Church, participated in a campout on Nov. 21-23 at Camp Naish. The event included a hike on the Rim Rock Trail.

Scouts hiking two miles were: Andrew Dominguez.

Scouts hiking five miles were: Darren Rawlings, Thomas Peterson, Jake DeLaTorre, Nathaniel Weeks and Gavin Spence.

Scouts hiking 12 miles were: Robert Newman, Elias Schneck, Matthew Dominguez, Vail Moshiri, Dakota Zinn, Stefan Kuczera, Brendan Golledge and Cory Church.

Adults hiking five miles were: Kent Peterson and Rawley Tedlock.

Adults hiking 12 miles were: Chris Golledge, Marlon Schneck and Jace Newman.

Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64, chartered to the Eudora Lions Club, completed a five-mile hike on Nov. 22, using a compass and map. The Scouts hiked in the Vinland area, ending at the Douglas County Fishing Lake.

Scouts participating were Connor Bradley, Nathan Bradley, Patrick Bradley and Nathan Gentleman. Adults participating were John Scott, Damon Bradley, and Duane Gentleman, and guest, Elizabeth Bradley. Following the hike, the crew ate lunch in Baldwin City before returning to Eudora.

On Nov. 17, the troop held elections. New officers are Connor Bradley, senior patrol leader, and Nathan Bradley, assistant senior patrol leader.
