The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a wind chill advisory for Douglas County until 10 a.m.

The combination of single-digit temperatures and 20-mph winds from the northwest has resulted in a wind chill of about 15 to 20 degrees below zero, according to the weather service.

The advisory recommends dressing warmly for the weather, as exposed skin can suffer from frostbite in a short amount of time.

Sadly it expires at 10:00 AM. Get out and enjoy it while it lasts.

Maybe now my kid will wear a warm coat. I doubt it though, what's up with that anyway?

"This globabl warming is freezing!"Global warming predicts extra cold temperatures, ice caps refreezing, a ice age coming....It also doesn't consider one year. Even a decade of cooling wouldn't be against it. Now, if that one year is warmer (than what?!),.... then it does. That's the "beauty" of global warming. It only supports alarmists.
