Man sentenced for killing K.C. bicyclist

? A second man goes to prison for 15 years for gunning down a bicycle rider in what prosecutors are describing as a random thrill killing.

A Jackson County judge imposed the sentence Thursday against 22-year-old Rapheal Willis. It matches the sentence given last month to his co-defendant, Fabian Brown Jr.

Both men pleaded guilty earlier this year to second-degree murder in the November 2005 killing of 43-year-old Robert Wynn Osborn.

Prosecutors said the pair hunted down and killed Osborn because they were bored.

The defense said Willis was behind the wheel as Brown fired two shots from a hunting rifle, missing both times. Prosecutors said the men then hid behind a tree and ambushed Osborn as he rode his bicycle.
