Haskell women fall

? Maria Parker scored 22 points, and Kortney Smith added 19, but it wasn’t enough for Haskell Indian Nations University women’s basketball team, as it fell, 66-61, to William Woods University on Saturday.

“I think the significance of the game tonight is, even though we lost on the road, we played well,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said, pointing out that William Woods’ only loss this season came against College of the Ozarks. “I thought we could win it. I really did. The difference was free throws.”

Haskell was 7-of-13, while William Woods converted 14 of 20 charities.
