Street light blocked traffic on Clinton Parkway near Crestline Drive; traffic now flowing
A street light was blocking traffic on Clinton Parkway near Crestline Drive earlier this morning.
Traffic flow has been restored
City utility crews and Lawrence police officers were on the scene, and had asked for barricades to be erected while repairs were made and the street light was removed.
The light was blocking the eastbound lane when it fell, but both east and westbound lanes were blocked while the light was removed from traffic.
Some vehicles were able to drive beneath the fallen stop light — but others, including a school bus — had to wait for the light to be removed.
There was no immediate word on what caused the light to fall.
