Kansas City, Mo. ? Getting there is getting easier.

A new line of personal navigators that add free traffic information and clearer directions was unveiled Wednesday by Garmin International.

The devices – four of seven new portable navigators introduced by Garmin on Wednesday – include new “lane assist” technology to alert drivers to lane change requirements at intersections and highway interchanges.

In addition, the devices come with another first for Garmin, free access to Navteq Traffic, a service that offers traffic alerts in about 50 cities.

The 750 series of portable navigators also offers a transparent view of buildings along the street in some urban areas, making navigating in cities easier.
