Law enforcement report
¢ Lawrence police responded to a call of an unidentified flying object shortly before 9:30 Tuesday night. A caller reported something hovering in the sky east of Lawrence, saying it changed position several times. Lawrence police could not locate the UFO.
¢ Lawrence firefighters responded to a fire at the Easy Living mobile home park, 3323 Iowa, at 5:40 p.m. Monday. A Lawrence police dispatcher said no flames appeared to be showing, and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical could not provide a cause of the incident.

¢ Breakdown of light ballast, 8:19 a.m. Monday, 256 Mich.
¢ Authorized controlled burn, 9:02 a.m. Monday, 1400 N. 1700 Road.
¢ Gasoline or other fire, 1:56 p.m. Monday, 845 Miss.
¢ Overheated motor, 5:55 p.m. Monday, 541 Mich.
¢ Alarm system sounded due to malfunction, 8:30 p.m. Monday, 8 E. Sixth St.
¢ Cooking fire, 8:31 p.m. Monday, 1530 Engel Road.

Yep! saw two of them grey's running down 15th street; I was going to shoot at them but decided to wait and see if one of them tall skinny ones was going to cross the road after them. Them two little ones had a 30 pack of Bud Light under each arm. Lol.

Moments after reporting the UFO, the caller, a 28-year-old medicinal chemistry research aide at KU's Malott Hall, was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance.

I remember years ago when there was a suspected UFO west of town. It turned out to be a weather balloon… No joke though.. did that call originate from the labs at Kansas University? Was there techno music playing in the background of the phone call? People new to Lawrence and experiencing LSD for the first time should know that there is an airport just to the north of us… I'm sure there was a call 20 minutes later when the next airliner sat down at kci…hippies.

Just because you aren't outside looking up doesn't mean there isn't something there. I've seen unidentified flying objects over Lawrence before. I just didn't think it was worth calling the police about.
