The Lawrence High football team had a miserable end to it’s 2007 season. On October 26th of last year, the Lions lost to Topeka High for the first time in a decade. That setback ended a five-year streak of state playoff appearances. But a new campaign starts in two weeks for Dirk Wedd’s bunch…and memories of ’07 are providing plenty of motivation.
