Three new designer stationery collections hit shelves

Designer collaborations are commonplace today. It’s no surprise that the partnerships have extended to paper goods.

This summer, Target debuted a collection from Japanese artist Ayomi Yoshida that includes notecards, folders and journals. Bold colors, retro shapes and Asian influences decorate the minimalist collection, which ranges from $2 for a small gift bag to $20 for a scrapbooking kit.

Martha Stewart Occasions arrived at Michaels nationwide this spring.

The customizable products – invites, favors, guest books – are designed to make celebrations chic and personal.

That means some items, such as the Water Lily place cards, can be printed on a home computer and then embellished with pre-packaged accents. Prices range from $12.99 for 24 place cards to $39.99 for invitation sets that include response cards and thank-you notes.

And new this summer is Jonathan Adler’s Kensington collection for Barnes & Noble Booksellers, which costs from $8.95 to $29.95. The products – journals, notebooks, thank-you notes, pencils – have the same bold geometric patterns and whimsical color palettes as the New York designer’s home-furnishings line.
