KU picked sixth in Big 12

The Kansas University soccer team was picked to finish sixth in the Big 12 by the league’s coaches in the annual preseason poll, released by the conference office Friday. Texas was selected to finish first, garnering five first place votes and 94 total points. The Longhorns narrowly edged out in-state rival Texas

A&M (four first-place votes, 93 total points) for the honor. Missouri was chosen to finish third with 77 total points. Oklahoma State (71) and Colorado were selected fourth and fifth respectively, followed by Kansas with 60 points. Texas Tech (48), Nebraska (33), Oklahoma (29), Iowa State (18) and Baylor (14) rounded out the poll.
