Injured Perry teen released after wreck

A Perry teenager who was injured in a car accident Friday has been treated and released from the hospital.

A nursing supervisor at Lawrence Memorial Hospital said Brad Russell Lavin, 18, had been treated and released.

Lavin was injured when his 1988 Toyota Corolla went into a ditch west of U.S. Highway 24-40 north of Lawrence. The car struck a culvert, went airborne and rolled once.

The wreck was near the junction of U.S. Highway 24-40 and U.S. Highway 59 before 9 a.m.

Russell was wearing a seat belt.
