Nashville, Tenn. ? It wasn’t long ago that former Missouri wide receiver Justin Gage was something of a forgotten man. Now, he’s a key part of the Tennessee Titans.

A year after arriving in Nashville, Gage has been rewarded with a new four-year, $14 million contract. Coach Jeff Fisher already has declared Gage one of his starters, saying he has become a favorite target of quarterback Vince Young.

Young said Gage “came out of nowhere.”

“We’d seen it in the offseason … and things like that, but just to see how he came, as the season went on and on, the progress that he made, he’s going to be a good receiver for us,” Young said.
