University Bridge Club announces results of its July 26 meeting. Hosts were Mary Jo Spotts, Isabelle Schaake, Willie Stoltenberg and Lois Liebert.

Blue winners were Bonnie Haney, first; Tom Waller, second; George Bocquin, third; Ray Ikenberry, fourth; and Dale Kring, fifth.

Pink winners were Carolyn Jordan, first; Ailene Bocquin, second; Donna Gatts, third; Jo Anne Hicks, fourth; and Virginia Williams, fifth.

The Lawrence Rainbow Girls will host an open house for girls ages 5-20 who may be interested in joining our organization. The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 23 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer, first; Harry Shaffer and Lois Clark, second; Mary Fenlon and Lester Dalton, third; and Betty Collier and Klee Zaricky, fourth.

The East-West winners were Cathy Blumenfeld and Grant Sutton, first; Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks, second; Sally Taylor and Yvonne Hedges, third; and Eldon Herd and Ann Thompson, fourth.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate game on July 24 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Virginia Seaver and Pat Ryan, first; Ann Thompson and Mary Cornwell, second; Pat Lechtenberg and Barbara McCorkle, third; Jean Khatib and Angie Davidson, fourth; and Clarice Broz and Chris Lane tied in fifth with Eldon Herd and Earle Core.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 25 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Virginia Seaver and Jeane Landry, first; Harry Shaffer and Grant Sutton, second; Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky, third in A; and Cathy Blumenfeld and Betty Collier, first in C.

The East-West winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman, first; Eldon Herd and Lois Clark, second; Wanna Roszel and Ann Thompson, third in A; and Barbara McCorkle and Angie Davidson, second in B.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 28 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Harry Shaffer and Grant Sutton, first; Jerry Sloan and Emily Foster, second; Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton tied third in A with Mary Fenlon and Jean Otney; Yvonne Hedges and Shirley Reese, first in B; and Earle Core and Albert Ballard, second in B.

The East-West winners were John Fittell and Adelaide Nyquist, first; John Turner and Donna Johnson, second; Barbara Merriam and Dorothy Netson, third; and Pat Musick and Jolene Andersen, fourth.
