Eudora district names acting superintendent

The Eudora school board has named an interim superintendent to lead the district for a year.

Don Grosdidier, the district’s assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, will take over on July 1, when Superintendent Marty Kobza leaves Eudora for a similar job in Hot Springs County, Wyo.

Grosdidier has been with the district for 22 years. He taught social studies at Eudora High School and also served as middle school principal from 2001 to 2006.

“In my discussions with the board, the key thing we want is continuity,” he said. “We’re happy with the direction the district has taken. We want to ensure the staff and the community that we will continue that direction. From a leadership standpoint, I take that as my charge.”
