Eastern Douglas County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4:30 p.m. Extreme southeastern Lawrence and Eudora are areas that will be impacted.

At 4 p.m. the National Weather Service received reports from trained weather spotters that a severe thunderstorm was producing quarter-size hail and one-inch hail near Clinton Lake and damaging winds up to 60 mph. The storm was 11 miles south of Lawrence and moving northeast at 50 mph.

The area includes the Kansas Turnpike near mile markers 196 and 203.

The National Weather Services advises people to take immediate cover if in the path of the storm. The storm is producing lightning as well.

Hey, I completely missed the storm that went through the other day/evening ?, I read on here that people had damage. I think our tornado and gustnado have made me less caring about wind events.

Did it just rain? Better turn on the news and find out. BRB.

Those were really big drops too. The kind that hit your head and leave a mark, then run slowly down, no blending, just a one drop river.

Gee, how glad am I that the news media informs me of this. The fact that I was just outside with my umbrella really didn't tell me anything.
