Hey, kids and teens! Think you have the best mom in the world? Let her know through the Journal-World’s annual Mother’s Day Essay Contest. If you’re 18 or younger, write a short essay – 250 words or less – about why your mom is so great, giving specific examples of what she does to help you out. Entries are limited this year to Lawrence and Douglas County students. Some of the entries will appear in the Journal-World, and all of them will be posted at www.ljworld.com. Two mothers will be featured in an upcoming Pulse section and receive a package of prizes from local businesses.
