Hey, kids and teens! Think you have the best mom in the world? Let her know through the Journal-World's annual Mother's Day Essay Contest. If you're 18 or younger, write a short essay - 250 words or less - about why your mom is so great, giving specific examples of what she does to help you out. Entries are limited this year to Lawrence and Douglas County students. E-mail entries to Terry Rombeck at trombeck@ljworld.com, or mail them to him at 645 New Hampshire St., Lawrence, 66044, by April 18. Some of the entries will appear in the Journal-World, and all of them will be posted at www.ljworld.com. Two mothers will be featured in an upcoming Pulse section and receive a package of prizes from local businesses.
