Becky Davis
Lawrence High, Jr.
Soccer
What she did: In helping lead the Lions to a 3-0 start and the team's second straight McPherson Invitational title, Davis led a balanced LHS scoring attack by netting two goals, including the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Salina South in the tournament's semifinals.
Hunter Scheib
Free State High, Jr.
Baseball
What he did: While several Firebirds enjoyed big days during the team's trip south to Oklahoma, Scheib delivered the biggest blow, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the Firebirds' 5-2 victory over Springfield (Mo.) Kickapoo on Saturday. The victory moved Free State to 4-0.
