Conflicting statistics
To the editor:
On the 6 p.m. Sunflower news, I listened while Lawrence was touted as one of the best places to retire. I smiled and had previously heard those stats. On the 10 p.m. news out of Kansas City, I listened while the elevated crime rates in Lawrence were mentioned. Both stories have been featured in the Journal-World. Am I the only “baby boomer” who finds this to be an oxymoron?
