Swim Medalist: Carol Francis of Lawrence earned a first place, two seconds and a third in swimming at the Kansas Senior Olympics last weekend in Topeka.

¢Kreissler Fourth: Tom Kreissler of Lawrence finished fourth overall and won the men's ages 35-39 division of Sunday's Wichita Marathon. Steve Riley won the Masters division and was seventh overall. Jim Beiter was fifth in the 35-39 category.

¢Beaton JGC Winner: Mike Beaton carded a 69 and won Sunday's Jayhawk Golf Club weekly net tournament at Alvamar by one stroke over both Drew Walters and Ted Jordan. Ed Scholtes and Keith Wallace shared third place, each with a 72. Kent Hodgson carded a 73. Conrad Roberts' even-par 72 was the low gross score.

¢Sandrat Run: The Sandrat Trail Run will be Oct. 7 on the Kansas River trails. The 9.5-mile event will start and finish at the Ballard Center in North Lawrence. For information, go to www.runlawrence.org or call 842-4351.

¢Rueschhoff Hole-in-One: David Rueschhoff used a six-iron to ace the 165-yard No. 15 hole on Sept. 20 at Alvamar Country Club. Witnesses were Joe Baker, Roger Rankin and Cecil Kingsley.

¢KU Baseball Camps: Kansas University baseball will conduct two camps this fall. A youth camp will run through Oct. 21 and the other camp for 17- and 18-year-olds looking for college exposure will be Oct. 6-7. For information, call 864-7907.
