New York ? Mets outfielder Lastings Milledge was suspended three games by Major League Baseball on Friday, a day after arguing his ejection during the Mets-Marlins game. Milledge appealed and will continue playing as the Mets try to hold off Philadelphia in the NL East.

He was ejected by plate umpire Jim Joyce for arguing balls and strikes after a flyout in the seventh inning of the Mets’ 8-7, 10-inning loss to the Florida Marlins.

Milledge went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with Joyce and had to be restrained by coach Rickey Henderson.
