Chicago – Carlos Zambrano wasn’t sharp on short rest, and Aaron Harang and Cincinnati beat Chicago. Harang (16-4) allowed six hits and two runs in seven innings to outpitch Zambrano again.

San Diego – Greg Maddux issued his first walk in 10 starts.

Phoenix – Micah Owings threw a two-hit shutout.
