Alvamar Country Club head pro Randy Towner continued his productive year on the golf course Monday by qualifying for the PGA Senior Club Professional Championship, scheduled for October 21-24 at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Towner was one of three club pros among a field of 22 who played Sunday and Monday in the qualifier at Lawrence Country Club. Towner, who qualified for the U.S. Senior Open and missed the cut after shooting 84 on consecutive days at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis., shot a 71 Sunday at LCC and backed it up with a 74, good for second place.
