Kansas men’s golf to host tourney today

Kansas University’s men’s golf team will play host to The Kansas Invitational this week, a 54-hole tournament at Alvamar Golf Club that starts with 36 holes today and finishes with 18 on Tuesday.

The Jayhawks are going for a four-peat, having won the team title in each of the last three years. Former KU standout Gary Woodland won the individual title last year.

Kansas will be one of 16 teams entered in the tournament from coast to coast. One other Big 12 Conference school – Nebraska – is in town, as well as teams such as California-Davis, North Carolina-Wilmington, North Texas and Wyoming.
