Old Home Town – 100 years ago

From the Lawrence Daily World for Sept. 13, 1907: “There were more than 100 students enrolled in a single day yesterday at the university even though regular registration does not begin until next week. The new rules allow earlier enrollment . : Another firm is trying for a city franchise for a street railway and the latest applicant seems to know the business and seems serious. The C.J. Moore Co. is the applicant. : Many evening attractions are planned for the Douglas County Fair and a number of the concessions acts are supposed to be outstanding.”
