Tuttle Titlist: Brian Tuttle recorded a 68 and won Saturday's Jayhawk Golf Club weekly net tournament at Alvamar by a stroke over Van Reichert. Keith Wallace was third with a 71, followed by Todd Chapple 72, Duane Dickson 73 and Scot Buxton and Bob Bezek, both with 74s. Reichart fired the low gross, a two-under-par 70.

City Deadlines: Late registration for city adult volleyball leagues will end Friday. The deadline for entering adult fall basketball and dodgeball leagues is Wednesday. For information, call 832-7920 or go to www.lprd.org.

Sandrat Run: The Sandrat Trail Run will be Oct. 7 on the Kansas River trails. The 9.5-mile event will start and finish at the Ballard Center in North Lawrence. For information, go to www.runlawrence.org or call 842-4351.

KU Baseball Camps: Kansas University baseball will conduct two camps this fall. A youth camp will run Saturday to Oct. 21 with three sessions to choose from. The other camp will be Oct. 6-7 and will be for 17- and 18-year-olds looking for college exposure. For information, call 864-7907.

'Shoe Shiners: Ken Martin of Baldwin won the men's A division, and Wynne Mihura of Lawrence finished second in the women's competition at the Kansas Horseshoe Pitching Championships last weekend in Ottawa. Mihura's percentage was 53.62, and Martin's percentage was 47.22.

Youth Bowling Begins: Lawrence Youth Bowling leagues will begin Saturday and Sunday at Royal Crest Lanes. For information, call Royal Crest Lanes at 842-1234.
