Strinden’s goal helps Kansas soccer claim 1-all tie with Auburn

? Senior Emily Strinden scored Kansas University’s lone goal, and goalkeeper Colleen Quinn made five saves in a 1-1 soccer deadlock with Auburn early Sunday morning.

Strinden gave Kansas a 1-0 lead late in the first half. The senior forward knocked home a feed from freshman Erin Lewis following a free kick by freshman Lauren Jackson at 33:55. Both Lewis and Jackson were credited with assists.

Auburn evened the match in the 82nd minute off a corner kick.

Junior Jessica Bush led the Jayhawks with four shot attempts, while sophomore Kim Boyer and junior Missy Geha each chipped in with two. Quinn made five saves, including four after the first intermission.
