Baker stumbles, 42-24

? Missouri Western scored two defensive touchdowns in the first quarter and rolled to a 42-24 college football victory Saturday night against Baker University.

Missouri Western’s Soane Etu opened the scoring when he sacked the quarterback, forced a fumble, then scooped the ball and rumbled in 41 yards for the touchdown.

The Griffons scored their second defensive touchdown of the fist quarter when J.R. Graham picked up a fumble and scampered 36 yards to make the score 14-0.

Baker scoreed on a 49-yard field goal by Derek Doerfler at 3:52 of the first quarter, but La’Darrian Page scored his first career touchdown on the next possession to make it 21-3.

The Wildcats cut the lead to 21-10 on a three-yard run by Mack Brown.

Baker (0-1) will entertain Culver-Stockton at 1 p.m. Saturday.
