Scouting Report: Dan LeFevour

Middle Tennessee State coach Rick Stockstill studied Central Michigan quarterback Dan LeFevour for several weeks before MTSU and CMU played in the Motor City Bowl last December. Here’s his scouting report on the quarterback of Kansas University’s opponent today:

“He’s really an excellent quarterback. He’s a young guy that makes good decisions throwing the ball as well as running the ball. He knows when to tuck it and run, things like that.

“He’s a very accurate passer. He’s faster, a little more elsuive in person than what he appears on film.

“This is from seeing him once and watching 11 or 12 games on film. He’s a young quarterback. I think he’s very polished and he does a good job fundamentally for where he is right now. I think he’ll continue to get better. Right now, I think he’s got good pocket awareness, and it goes back to what I said earlier of knowing when to pull the ball down. He does a good job on their designed quarterback runs. He’s just really talented.”
