Wildlife and Parks commissioners have approved a spring turkey season next year that will run from April 9 to May 31. The youth-disabled season will run April 1-8, concurrent with the archery-only season.

The commission also approved an increase in the number of permits available in Unit 4 (southwest Kansas) to 325, of which 250 are available for the regular draw and 75 designated for drawing among applicants 16 or younger.
