‘Rapunzel’ cast lets down its hair

Patrick Weaver, left, and Elizabeth Sullivan star in Seem-To-Be-Players' version of Rapunzel.

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.”

Most everybody knows that line from the famous fairy tale.

But they might not know the full “Rapunzel” story, or the message behind the piece.

The Seem-To-Be Players bring the fairy tale to stage this weekend at the Lawrence Arts Center for shows at 7 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets to the show are $10 for adults and $8 for children and seniors, all available at the arts

center, 940 N.H., or by calling

843-2787.

Admission to today’s show also includes a post-production pizza party with the cast.

After this weekend’s performances, the cast will tour Western Kansas and Texas next week. “Rapunzel” is scheduled for a national tour in the spring.
