Mice invade Broken Arrow Elementary

Some classrooms at Broken Arrow Elementary have pets, but there's one new mammal in the school that won't be a class mascot anytime soon. Mice. Enlarge video

Mice have been sighted in the classrooms of Broken Arrow School, apparently driven inside by construction on nearby South Junior High School.

"A lot of the earth gets turned up with the big machinery outside working on the new additions to Broken Arrow, so consequently, the mice need somewhere to go when their house is dug up," said Broken Arrow Principal Brian McCaffrey.

Broken Arrow's first- and second-grade classrooms have had mice sightings. District officials said they did not believe there was cause for alarm.
