Lawrence police are investigating a possible aggravated battery that occurred early Thursday morning in an apartment complex in central Lawrence. Emergency responders received a call from officials at Lawrence Memorial Hospital that a 20-year-old man was being treated for severe cuts to the face and neck.

An acquaintance of the victim has been identified as the suspect. No arrest have been made in the incident.
