Baldwin City ? Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy, a 1987 Baker graduate, will serve as honorary team captain for Baker’s football team today, when the Wildcats face Central Methodist. Kickoff is 6 p.m. at Liston Stadium.

McCarthy will be in Baldwin City this weekend during ceremonies for his induction into Baker University’s Athletic Hall of Fame. He played tight end in 1985 and 1986 for the Wildcats, serving as a team captain for Baker during its run to the NAIA championship game in ’86.

During halftime of the Baker-Central Methodist game, McCarthy will be honored for his induction into the Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is set for 1:45 p.m. today at the Collins House.
