The Over the Rainbow Doll Club met Oct. 11 at the home of LouAnne Burgess. Members brought their club doll dressed for Halloween. The costumes were a ghost, wicked witch, pumpkin, princess, cat, scarecrow, sunflower, fairy, skeleton and Glenda the Good Witch.

Prizes were given in five categories: prettiest, ugliest, scariest, most original and best overall. Gail Brewster and Mikhaila and Mikhenna Brown gave a lesson on Mary Engelbreit’s dolls, and read an original story written by Gail and Mikhaila. The club’s next meeting is planned for Nov. 8.

¢The University Bridge Club announces the results of its Oct. 13 meeting. Hosts were Mary Jo Spotts, Willie Stoltenberg, Lois Liebert and Alice Akin.

Blue winners were Dale Kring, first; Lois Liebert, second; Harold Riehm, third; George Bocquin, fourth; and John Golden, fifth. Pink winners were Donna Riehm, first; Jane Golden, second; Wanda Kring, third; Myrna Ikenberry and Alice Akin, fourth; and Mary Kanous, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was directed by Chris Lane on Oct. 10. The North-South winners were Jeane Landry and Harry Shaffer, followed by Virginia Seaver and Shirley Reese.

Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer were third in A, with Florine Creek and Frances Vogel at first in B. Jeffrey Nash and Shari Krentzel were second in B. East-West winners were Mark Osborn and Ed Howard, followed by Carol Ball and Mona Bell at second in A and first in B. Eldon Herd and Charles Hedges were third in A and second in B.

¢The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club’s game was directed by Chris Lane on Oct. 11. Florine Creek and Pat Lechtenberg placed first.

Second-place was a three-way tie between Virginia Seaver and Marillyn Martin, Jean Khatib and Chris Lane, and Barbara Figgins and Lester Dalton.

¢The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was directed by Chris Lane on Oct. 14.

Craig Huneke and Jeff Marmin placed first. In a three-way tie for second place were Adelaide Nyquist and Madelyn Jenks, Jeremy Martin and Brandon Humpert, and Eleanor Patton and Chris Lane.

¢The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game was directed by Virginia Seaver on Oct. 15. The North-South winners were Donna Johnson and James Masilamani, followed by Jerry Sloan and Greg Hazen. Harry Shaffer and Terry Tolar placed third in A, with Steven Phelps and Vince Nordberg at fourth in A, first in B and first in C. Earle Core and Albert Ballard were second in B and second in C.

The East-West winners were John Hickey and Grant Sutton, with a second-place tie between Jolene Andersen and Pat Musick, with Jim Stewart and Jeffrey Nash. Paul Heitzman and Virginia Seaver were fourth in A, followed by Eldon Herd and Emily Foster at third in B.
