Spring Hill ? After two three-and-out possessions, Baldwin High scored on its next four possessions to put away Spring Hill, 49-22, in district football on Friday night.

Baldwin improved to 6-2 overall, 2-0 in districts despite allowing two fourth-quarter touchdowns.

The Bulldogs rushed for five touchdowns and passed for two others. Sam Beecher scored on a 39-yard run and threw a 19-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Gabe Mason also rushed for two scores.

Perry – Perry-Lecompton held Jefferson West to 42 yards on 43 snaps in a decisive victory at the Kaws’ field.

Senior Caleb Denton, who had 30 yards off 11 carries, scored on bursts of two and four yards. He also caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from junior Shane Gimzo. Also, Gimzo hit Joel Gantz on a four-yard TD pass, while Aaron Brooks scored off a 43-yard run and Brandon McMullin a 73-yard interception return.

The Kaws (7-1, 2-0) will face Atchison on Thursday.
