A new scholarship fund was established at Kansas University through a gift of $100,000 to the KU Endowment Association from the Mary Pickford Foundation of Santa Monica, Calif. The gift established the Charles “Buddy” Rogers Scholarship Endowment Fund, honoring the former KU student from Olathe who had married movie star Mary Pickford.
