The Lawrence MAVS is club volleyball program that competes in the Heart of America (HOA) region of USA Volleyball. The teams will train and compete from November through March or April.

Players interested in trying out for one of our teams must complete a registration form (with a parent’s signature) and pay a $10 tryout fee.

Tryout Schedule:

11’s (born on or after September 1, 1996): 11 a.m. 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, Robinson Center. There are 9-10 openings, fees $400-$500.

12’s (born on or after September 1, 1995): 11 a.m. 1 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, Robinson Center. There are 8-9 openings, fees $500-$600.

13’s (born on or after September 1, 1994): 2 p.m. 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, Robinson Center. There are 5-6 openings, fees $675-$775.

14’s (born on or after September 1, 1993): 8 a.m. 10 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, Robinson Center. There are 8-9 openings, fees $650-$750.

15’s (born on or after September 1, 1992): 8 a.m. 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, Robinson Center. There are 3-4 openings, fees $750-850.

For tryout information on other area clubs, go to www.hoavb.org. Go to juniors section and scroll down to clubs and click on tryouts. At that point, click on the junior tryout list to find information on other area clubs and their tryout schedules and fees. Many clubs have not yet posted tryout information, so keep checking back. Players are allowed to tryout for more than one team.

No more than four players from the same school team are allowed to play on the same club team. For example: one to four players from Southwest eighth-grade team can play together on the same club team, but not more that four.
