What she did: Sutherland reached the finals of last week’s 1A-3A regional tennis meet, earning her a berth at this week’s state tournament in Wichita. Sutherland dropped just seven games in her two victories, and forced a third set before falling in the title match.

What he did: The Free State High quarterback led the Firebirds to more than 400 yards of total offense in a road victory over previously unbeaten SM West. Individually, Rosenstengle ran for 82 yards and passed for 101. He ran for one TD and threw for two more.
