School’s expansion to be discussed

Bottom line

City commissioners will consider approving a special-use permit for the expansion of Bishop Seabury Academy, 4120 Clinton Parkway.

Background

Leaders with the private school are planning on building a 7,043-square-foot expansion of the school. The new addition would provide more classroom space to serve existing students. The school is not planning to significantly increase enrollment as part of the expansion. The new building would be located between the existing outdoor tennis court and the parking lot. Planners, as part of the expansion, also are requiring new pedestrian connections from the frontage road, and the addition of curbs and gutters to the parking lot.
