Seven noted friends of Kansas University were named recipients of the Fred Ellsworth Medallion, the KU Alumni Association’s highest award for service to the school. They were Frank Burge, Archie Dykes, William Martin, George Nettels Jr., Wilmer Shaffer, Dwight Sutherland and John Vogel Jr.
