The University Bridge Club announces results of its Sept. 29 meeting. Hosts were Janet Dunn and Donna Gatts. Blue winners were Dale Kring, first; Ray Ikenberry, second; Tom Waller, third; Dave Gaumer, fourth; and John Golden, fifth. Pink winners were Wanda Kring, first; Dorothy “Dottie” Miller, second; Lois Liebert, third; Aileen Bocquin, fourth; and Florence McNicoll, fifth.

¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game on Sept. 26 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Carol Ball and Chris Lane at first in A and B, with Rosemary Searcy and Jeffrey Nash at second in A. Mark Osborn and Gary Joyce placed third in A and second B. There was a tie for first place in C between Betty Spalsbury and Margarete Hartman, with Clarice Broz and Marilyn Martin.

The East-West winners were Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor at first in A and B, with Chuck Hedges and Mona Bell at second in A and B, and first in C. There was a third-place tie between Paul Heitzman and David Piro with Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld.

¢The Thursday Morning Bridge Club’s mentor game on Sept. 27 was directed by Chris Lane. Ann Tams and Marilyn Martin placed first, followed by Wanna Roszel and Chris Lane. Lester Dalton and Barbara Figgins came in third.

¢The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game Sept. 28 was directed by Virginia Seaver. Jeane Landry and Virginia Seaver placed first in the North-South, followed by Harry Shaffer and Grant Sutton. Shirley Reese and Yvonne Hedges placed third in A and first in B, with Janice Hollowell and Jolene Anderson at second in B and first in C.

East-West was led by Jean Otney and Florine Creek at first in A, B and C, followed by Paul Heitzman and David Piro. Eldon Herd and Mike Montgomery placed third in A and second in B, with Betty Collier and Charles Hedges at second in C.

¢The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game Sept. 30 was directed by Eldon Herd, with Julie Brooks and Madelyn Jenks placing first. Eldon Herd and Mike Montgomery tied for second with Marilyn Martin and Ann Tams.
