Senior services collecting cell phones
Douglas County Senior Services is collecting donated used cell phones for the “911 Cell Phones for Seniors” program.
Cell phones are given to seniors requesting them to be used in emergency situations.
The phones can be dropped off at the Lawrence Senior Center, 745 Vt., Baldwin City Public Library, Eudora City Hall, Eudora Public Library and Lecompton City Hall.
To obtain a donated “911 Cell Phones for Seniors” cell phone or for more information, call Ashley Schemm, the senior services’ community services program assistant, 842-0543.
