— A teenager worried about coming in past curfew did his best Santa Claus and headed down the chimney.

Unfortunately, he didn't slide down quite as well as St. Nick.

The 17-year-old boy was trying to sneak back into his room at the Judson Center social services agency Thursday night when he got stuck. A worker at the Center heard moaning and followed the noise to the chimney, authorities said.

Firefighters and police officers had to pull him out.

Is it just me, or are the last two paragraphs from a totally different column?

Blame it on the first snow of the year...

The last two paragraphs are weird. West Warwick is in RHODE ISLAND! The teen story is from Michigan. The word "the" to begin the paragraph is not even capitalized.

I agree Jonas. There is something wrong with this article.

I saw the other story last night and saw part of it was missing.

The last two paragraphs belong to the following story. http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2007/nov...

Don't know where the rest of this story if there is any might have gotten to.

Maybe it's some trick to get us to read more of the paper. If you want any news, you must read all the news.

The news media needs to educate people about how a chimney is constructed with a diagram included. There is ABSOLUTELY no way any size of human (large, small, young or old) can enter a house by going down a chimney. The sooner this is made public, the more lives will be saved.

If you get stuck in a chimney you are going to die. The opening at the bottom (the flue) is only 4" wide. No human can pass through a 4" opening.

Perhaps after a silly frivolous lawsuit or two, well see printed on the sides of chimneys " Caution. This chimney is not meant as or to be used as an entry to the home.Do not attempt to enter through the chimney" or some other such statement that is the result of somebody's stupidity being worth a big payday to them.
