Club News

Over the Rainbow Doll Club met Nov. 8 at the home of Barbara Walden. Mikhenna and Mikkaila Brown entertained members with violin solos.

Gail Brewster gave the lesson with an original Thanksgiving story with the club doll as characters. She demonstrated the making of doll tights for our club doll. Members also brought nonperishable food items for ECKAN.

Members will meet in December for a Christmas tea.

Knights of Columbus Council 1372 announces recent award winners. Knight of the Month winners include Benedict Habiger, July; Daniel St. John, August; and Mark Klug, September.

Family of the Month winners were Mark Cairns, July; Paul Clark, August; and John Callewaert, September.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club met Nov. 14, and the game was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Virginia Eddy and Betty Collier at first in A, B and C, with Betty Spalsbury and Grant Sutton at second in A, B and C. Julia Brooks and Chris Lane placed third in A.

The East-West winners were Eldon Herd and Sally Taylor at first in A and B, with David Piro and Paul Heitzman at second in A. Catherine Blumenfeld and Mark Osborn took third in A and second in B, followed by Mona Bell and Carol Ball at first in C.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club met Nov. 15 and played a game directed by Lester Dalton. Eldon Herd and Arkie Vaughn placed first. Tying for second place were Virginia Seaver and Virginia Johnston, along with Wanna Roszel and Barbara McCorkle. Adelaide Nyquist and Eleanor Patton placed fourth, followed by Bebe Huxtable and Pat Lechtenberg.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club game Nov. 16 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were Dianne Childs and Judy Hildreth, followed by James Gunn and Ed Howard. Chris Lane and Shirley Reese placed third in A and first in B, followed by Sally Taylor and Catherine Blumenfeld.

The East-West winners were Mark Osborn and Grant Sutton at first in A and B, followed by Paul Heitzman and David Piro. Madelyn Jenks and Mona Bell placed third in A, second in B and first in C, followed by Virginia Eddy and Betty Collier at second in C.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club met Nov. 19, and the game was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South winners were James Masilamani and Donna Johnson, followed by Vince Norberg and Jerry Sloan. Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer placed third in A, with Martie Hartman and Pat Burgstahler placing first in C.

The East-West winners were John Hickey and James Kelley, followed by Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman. Peter Petillo and David Piro placed third in A, with Pat Musick and Jolene Andersen placing first in B. Emily Foster and Eldon Herd were second in B.
