About 1,350 Westar Energy customers in west Lawrence and parts of Lecompton were without power for more than two hours Wednesday.

According to a Westar Energy spokeswoman, a broken cross arm caused the power outage about 1:30 p.m.

Power was restored by 4 p.m.

Residences and businesses from South Lawrence Trafficway to Stone Meadows Drive and Harvard Road to 18th Street, as well as a rural district north to Lecompton, were affected by the power failure.
