Veteran thanks
To the editor:
The HyVee stores once again celebrated Veterans Day by inviting all veterans to a buffet breakfast. A handful of young, current members of the Armed Forces in their freshly up-to-date uniforms were accompanied in much larger numbers by their very old senior counterparts, wearing the remnants of their caps, dog tags, ribbons, etc., demonstrative of their service.
World War II veterans are dying at the rate of 1,000 each day. We are genuinely thankful to HyVee.
