Watkins Museum will play host to an ExhibitsUSA traveling exhibit, “Cowgirls: Contemporary Portraits of the American West,” Dec. 15 through Jan. 19.

Museum staff is seeking photographs of Douglas County cowgirls with an explanatory essay up to 250 words. Please provide a photographic print or a digital image on a CD.

Images and essays may be e-mailed to Rebecca Phipps at rebeccap@watkinsmuseum.org. Include “Douglas County cowgirl” in the subject line.

Submissions are due Dec. 12. All participants and their families will be invited to the exhibit opening on Dec. 14.
